Very good analysis. Indeed, we shouldn't be playing by the rules of the govt and they lackeys. In comparison to them, we are few, which is why we should be smarter than them.
Also, I had no idea about the poor lady that was murdered by the 1312... May he rest in peace, and may the perpetrator receive what he deserves ποΈπ
Once the idea of 'media coverage' is foresworn as a factor in 'street activities, why continue to treat 'the media' with deference? The Media has chosen a side and it's not the side of the people. Targeting Media would force the Media to retreat or force the state apparatus to expend additional resources in protecting them.
Every 'activity' has at least two functions. The first is to seize territory and impose one's rule (however temporary). The second is to drain the enemy's treasury.
In the spirit of academic enquiry into the concept of the protest, I feel that it is tempting to lose sight of the purpose of daylight demonstrations conducted openly, in accordance with whatever laws exist regulating the matter, and, of courseβand I cannot stress this enoughβ*non-violently*.
The open protest serves several important goals: it is a venue where grievances and demands can be aired, it is a rallying point where the strength of one's movement can be judged, it offers some control of the messaging, which would otherwise be wholly in the hands of one's political opponents.
Again, I cannot stress enough that all such protests should be peaceful and non-violent, giving as little provocation for crackdown as possible. However, even in the best case, they engage significant police presence in their monitoring, possibly stretching the force thin, if the protests are sufficiently big and long lasting.
The 2020 protests in the US are an example worth studying, I think.

These are so fascinating to read, love it
The marine bridge from N. Ireland to Scotland seems to have fascilitated the OPSECp transfer of knowledge.
Now that knowledge needs to transfer down to England and Wales π§ πͺ
